Professor Ihsan Dogramaci, beloved founder of Bilkent University, passed away today, February, 25, 2010, at Hacettepe University Hospital. He was 95 years old, and the dear father of our current rector, Professor Ali Dogramaci. He will be deeply missed.

Universitemizin kurucusu ve Mutevelli Heyeti Baskani Prof. Dr. Ihsan Dogramaci, 25 Subat 2010, Persembe gunu tedavi gormekte oldugu Hacettepe Universitesi Hastanesinde vefat etmistir. Egitim ve saglik alanlarinda tum insanliga yapmis oldugu katkilarla hatirlayacagimiz Hocabeye rahmet, ailesine, Bilkent camiasina ve tum sevenlerine bassagligi dileriz. 

Merhum Kurucumuz icin 27 Subat 2010, Cumartesi gunu 9:30 da Hacettepe Universitesi Sihhiye Kampusu M Salonunda, 13:30 da Bilkent Universitesi Konser Salonunda ve 28 Subat 2010 Pazar gunu saat 9:30 da Yuksekogretim Kurulunda anma torenleri duzenlenecektir. 

Cenaze 28 Subat 2010 Pazar gunu Kocatepe Camiinde kilinacak ogle namazini takiben Bilkent Dogramacizade Ali Pasa Camiinde defnedilecektir. 


Prof. Dr. Ihsan Dogramaci, founder and President of the Board of Trustees of Bilkent University, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Hacettepe University Hospital where he was under treatment. We wish to extend our condolences to his family and the Bilkent community. 

Commemoration ceremonies will be held in his memory at the following locations and times: Saturday, February 27, at 9:30 a.m. at Hacettepe University M Lecture Hall, at 1:30 p.m. the same day at the Bilkent University Concert Hall, and Sunday, February 28, at 9:30 a.m. at the Council of Higher Education. 

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Kocatepe Mosque following the noon prayers and burial will take place at the Dogramacizade Ali Pasa Mosque.
